My Fitbit charge 2 is just not syncing since 11.0.3 iOS update. But it’s also not syncing on my Android phone now, which is odd?

Hello @godchick, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Have you restarted your Charge 2 and your phone recently? If you have and your tracker is still not syncing correctly I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone by going to Settings > Bluetooth, then wait for 15 seconds and turn it back on.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices that might interfere with the syncing process.
  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal.

If your tracker is still not syncing correctly, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Hello @Lissa82 and @Hayleyelaine, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community.

@Lissa82, thanks again for your patience and working through these troubleshooting steps. I’ve reached the limits of what I can do for you here on the public community forums, so I've contacted our Support team on your behalf to look into this issue further and provide you with some options. Please keep an eye on your email inbox for further instructions.

@Hayleyelaine, as you mentioned your tracker is connected to the Bluetooth on your phone, please tap on it and tap on Forget this Device, then restart your phone and finally try to set up your tracker as a new device:

Please give these steps a try and let me know the outcome!

I’m having the same issue.  My iPhone 7 doesn’t recognize the Fitbit charge 2.  It keeps searching for it in the Bluetooth list of devices. I’ve followed all of the troubleshooting tips.  When I try to delete the charge 2 Fitbit and set it up again it doesn’t recognize it.

I finally got mine to work.  I had to completely remove the Fitbit from my phone.  Then I had to plug the Fitbit into the charger to do a restart of the Fitbit.  To do this you need to plug it in, and then press and hold the button on the side until you see the Fitbit icon with the version number.  After doing that I went ahead (and to be safe so I didn't have to redo it) turned off my Bluetooth on my phone for 15-30 seconds.  I then turned the Bluetooth back on and went into the Fitbit app and added a new device (since I had removed my original during trouble shooting).  It was then able to find it and was able to sync again.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, I have tried all the options but it’s definitely a problem since the latest IOS update. I can happily synch my Fitbit on my Android phone but have trouble with my apple iPad & iPhone. Just doesn’t connect to Bluetooth so not syncing properly.

@godchick Try doing the restart.  Plug your Fitbit into your charger and then press and hold the side button until it reboots.  The only way I could get it to work.  See other reply.

Yes, that’s what worked.....rebooting the Fitbit itself. Thanks again.

After several days of frustration, I found your comments regarding syncing FitBit Charge 2 to iPhone 7, followed them--setting up tracker as new device, disabling bluetooth & deleting Charge 2 completely and adding everything back again--and syncing finally worked.  Thanks very much.

Marcos,

I followed all of the steps everyone has listed, and I keep getting an error message whenever I try to input the numbers when setting up the new device. The code reads:

”The operation could not be completed (com.fitbit.HTTP error 403)”

many assistance would be greatly appreciated!
