As all the previous discussions have been closed ......
My Fitbit lost a battle with the lawn mower this morning (bloody belt clip) I want to transfer all my (15 years worth of) data to my iPhone (Apple Health) so its not lost until I sort out a replacement.
I'm assuming we are still talking 3rd party apps due to disinterest in providing a decent service to ... customers?
Any recommendations?

@BigJoe309 I apologize if I misread what you wrote. Your data is synced to your Fitbit account (on Fitbit's servers) when you sync. You only lost unsynced data when your Fitbit got destroyed by the lawn mower. All synced data is on your account. You don't need to transfer anything.
You can use your iPhone to count your steps until you decide on a replacement. Tap on your device/battery icon in the upper left of your Fitbit app, then add your phone.
Linking Apple Health to your Fitbit account is no different from any other third party integration like MyFitnessPal or Strava. The integration needs to start on the Apple side of the link.
