Today is Dec 9, the last time the Fitbit synced was Nov. 29. It never syncs with the new app now. I have an Apple watch also, and I don't want the 2 things to interfere with each other. There was no problem with that with the old app. The new one should have kept the old settings. It isn't very useful it if didn't.

Hi there, @SRWurding.
Thanks for letting us know about the syncing issues you've experienced. I understand your point of view and let me clarify that the syncing process should continue being the same with the new Fitbit app. I'm sorry this isn't your case and to work on this together, may I know if the issue is just when syncing automatically? Or are you also having issues to force a sync? What is the model of your Fitbit device and is it updated to the latest version?
As I mentioned before, the settings should remain the same. However, to make sure everything is correct, please go to your iPhone's settings > General and make sure the Background App Refresh is enabled for Fitbit. Once that is done, give a try to the following and monitor its behavior afterward:
- Forget your Fitbit device from the Bluetooth settings
- Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone
- Restart your Fitbit device to refresh its performance
- Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync
