Will it soon be an option where I can snapshot a picture of my food and the app will log in the calories based on the picture because if I'm at a restaurant it would be hard to guess the amount of calories I'm consuming plus it would be weird carrying around a small scale to weight my food.

Welcome to the Community @Reginald1011! This would be a really cool feature to have. There's already an idea in our Feature Suggestion board, if you want to vote for it. Because those ideas are viewed by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote for them.
