Twice weekly I walk a distance of 5 km along a dirt road to catch the ferry. It takes me 40 minutes. My pace is brisk, 7.5 kph. The only day I walked down the mountain where I work. After 40 minutes I sensed, and later confirmed, I had walked 5 km. I know my body. The Fitbit iPhone app does not. It relies on speculative technology and is grossly inaccurate in counting steps and measuring distance.

Hello @salop, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board.
MobileTrack on the Fitbit app uses your phone's sensors to track basic activity data including steps, distance, and calories burned. If you have noticed inconsistencies with the distance you're walking, I would like to suggest removing MobileTrack from the Fitbit app and setting it up once again to refresh the connection between Fitbit and your phone sensors.
To set up MobileTrack once again:
- Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account tab
- Select + Set up a new Device.
- Choose MobileTrack and follow the onscreen instructions.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply!
