Fitbit keeps vibrating after answering a call

Since I updated to the latest ios my fitbit continues to vibrate and notify me of an incoming call even after I have answered the call.

Is there a fix in place?

I had a friend with the same issue, the fix for them was to make sure previews for texts were turned on in the messages section of the settings app. Then they started working again

I'm not sure why fitbit isn't listening, this has been an issue for well over 6 months and people are constantly complaining about it

FYI, I got response from Fitbit support, they are offering a 25% discount, but seemingly are not addressing the issue with a software update

Hi @mvan231 !

What do they mean by ‘25% discount’?
As in they will offer discount on new purchases? What about all the frustrated Fitbit customers who already own Fitbit watches?
Really poor customer service from Fitbit and their silence on this thread is an insult to the loyal customers who have chosen them over their competitors.
I’m reluctant to go down the Apple Watch route but it’s beginning to feel like the wise choice.

Yes precisely. I agree it’s ridiculous and I refuse to buy another of their
products because of it. Even if they offered a full replacement Blaze i
would say no. It’s clearly a software problem since we all have the issue
and have tried the steps required to troubleshoot the issue. I’m going to
deal with the problem for now and when this does, maybe get Apple Watch. My
wife loves hers (Series 4) and says it’s much lighter on her wrist than the
Blaze was when she had one.

Can you wear the Apple Watch at night so that it monitors your sleep?

No.   The Apple Watch does not support sleep tracking.  It also has to
be charged daily.   That makes it a no-go for me.

I may be a contrarian, but my experience was that the problem was from
Apple upgrade that blocked the messages from going through. My basis of
this opinion is that when I updated to IOS13.3 it started working again
without any intervention from Fitbit.

Doesn’t support it natively, but with other apps, it can

Well, after 6 months FitBit still does not have a solution.  Just got off the phone with customer service and the response is "we are working on this, it is an active case".  Requested some kind of compensation or discount on new product but after 30min of complaining, nothing.  Not even a discount code for their next gen watch.

Wow.

Yeah, the response I got from them was that I could get a discount on a new device, but that they were discontinuing support on the Blaze for software updates. I gave up on it and when this Blaze dies, so will my Fitbit history and account

Yeah it’s really poor from Fitbit. One of the most frustrating things is not only their failure to fix the bug but also their lack of communication regarding the issue. I finally gave up and purchased the Apple Watch last week! As others have said, this was possibly Apple’s master plan all along but I have to say I’m happy I made the move! 😉

Yes yes! I got my wife a series 4 for christmas and she said the same
thing. Wished she would've gotten one long ago 😛

Now is probably a good time for @Fitbit  to post some kind of explanation/ status update on this thread. Your silence is frustrating and disrespectful to your customers. And as you can see from the comments, many of your loyal customers are jumping ship to the fruit company!

Hi there @LizzyFitbit

I just got my brand new charge 4 yesterday, and my charge is having this issue as well. When I clear the notification it continues to keep popping back up.

I'm not sure if this is a defect of my new charge 4 or just a software issue. It is quite a bothersome thing, and I'd like to still receive call notifications.

Whenever I try to stop the notifications, it ends up hanging up on my call.

Thanks,

My new Charge 4 not receiving text message notifications. I get call notifications but no texts. Bluetooth and fitbit app settings are correct. DNS off. Beginning bumpy stages? 😥

I have a Versa LIte. Some of the hiccups I have had are resolved with a reset of the watch. And sometimes a reset of the app

Same with my Blaze. Been known by Fitbit for months and months now.

I had a friend having this issue and it was because the messages preview
while locked was turned off in the messages notification settings

Has the Fitbit team come up with a solution for the Blaze continuing to buzz during and active call? It happens with outbound and inbound calls. A solution would be great considering the length of time that has passed since the IOS 13 update last October.

Best Answer
No but if you press the button on the left side it will stop it continuing whilst you’re on the call.
