Fitbit not syncing yet again!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

And here we go again! When will it be fixed?

I primarily use my Fitbit as a sleep monitor. Yesterday I had to input my data and it looks like I'm going to have to do it today too. My iPhone, iPad and Mac computer are not syncing with my Fitbit One yet another day. I refuse to have to restart my Fitbit on a daily, or twice daily, basis now with the last wonderful update. What bug fixes did it fix? My Fitbit was working just fine. This morning my iPad is showing the closest data to my Fitbit as far as steps are concerned. My iPhone is still syncing, which it has been doing for the last 30 minutes and still showing '0' steps and my computer hasn't synced since 11:58 last night. I know I'm not the only one with this issue. There is a problem! When is it going to be fixed!

I can't possibly be the only one having trouble syncing my Fitbit One since the update. Am I?

Mine seems to be working ok so it might be a problem at your end.

It might be worth restarting your One using this procedure:

It does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues.

Thank you for you reply but I have restarted my Fitbit many MANY times since the update some times more than once a day to get it to sync with my iPad, iPhone and computer. I never had a problem at all until the latest update. It worked flawlessly. Nothing but trouble since Feb 2.

I had the same issue

Here are screenshots of my iPhone, iPad and computer dashboards from about 5 minutes ago. I have been up and walking around for the last 90 minutes or so. I had to manually log my sleep however the times are wrong. All devices are still syncing and the little wheel on my iPhone has been going around since I awoke.Screen Shot 2017-02-11 at 7.11.43 AM.pngIMG_0331.PNGIMG_2057.PNGPlease tell me I'm not the only one with these issues.

Mine too.

I refuse to restart my Fitbit One yet again today but it looks like I have no option so far. Both iPhone and Fitbit webpage have not synced since last night. Very VERY disheartening. Not enough of us are complaining and that's why nothing is being done to resolve this issue.

Now what? I've tried deleting my fitbit one and restarting but now, after more than 10 tries, it won't even restart. I'm hooped. I give up. Garmin makes a good device and I'm moving over there!

If it won't restart then there's not much left to suggest. I'm not too hopeful but perhaps try turning it off and back on: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1257/

Are you still within warranty? It runs for 2 years in Europe, 1 year elsewhere. If you are covered then fitbit will likely replace it for you: contact.fitbit.com

@Diaczykbrillant @Pimk Welcome to the Fitbit forums! @zodybee I hope you're doing well! Please do the following:

  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off Bluetooth, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Reboot your phone.
  • Log back in to the Fitbit app.
  • Try these syncing troubleshooting steps depending on what kind of platform you are using.

That should help fixing this problem!

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

I did that one already. Someone else suggested it days ago. Just now, I tried deleting the app on my iPhone and downloading it again. No luck. My Fitbit One is functioning just fine with accurate data however it's not syncing with my devices. Here is a screenshot of Fitbit Data downloaded this morning.Screen Shot 2017-02-12 at 6.51.09 AM.png

After about 10 tries I was able to restart my Fitbit One. The syncing was working flawlessly before the update. Oh, if only we were able to go backwards and get the software BEFORE the update. My Fitbit One is functioning perfectly. It's the syncing that's not working on any of devices. This morning is no different. Day 11!

I've been using my Fitbit One for 3 years now and the battery continued to last 2-3 weeks between charges. It outdid all other trackers.

However since I've had to put it through so many restarts in the last 11 days, it has barely made it more than 4 days without needing a charge. Yes, I keep track of charging my fitbit so that I'm not caught by surprise while I am away from home.

Let's hope that when this syncing/restarting issue is resolved it will return to the dependable device on which I so totally relied.

Same problem with my One.  I can't even get it to work with a restart, which has worked before.  This is happening more and more.  No, my One is no longer under Warranty.  I started with this company with the original Ultra.  Very disappointed in this company right now.

I can relate! Although my Fitbit One is 3 years old, it's been working like a charm until February 2nd. The battery used to last up to 3 weeks which was great for traveling. Now, with the many MANY restarts I've had to do since Feb 2nd, the battery barely lasts 4 days. Yes, I did yet another restart today again as I needed to get the data from my Fitbit One for my sleep logs which I monitor for medical reasons. I did receive an email last nigtht from Fitbit Help asking if I still needed help. I replied early this morning, including screenshots, spreadsheets etc and my phone number but have yet to receive a reply. I've tried every single possible fix and none work. For this last restart, which I did on my computer, I actually put my iPhone and iPad as far as I could from my computer. I actually took them outside and kept them approximately 75-100ft from my computer so that there wouldn't be any interference as mentioned on another posting. The restart happened after two attempts but my Fitbit is not syncing with my iPhone again. Sooooooo frustrating. BTW, are you a Mac or PC user?

I am a PC user, and have tried five times to do a restart with no luck.
Now, I can't even get the sync to pull up on my laptop.

Fitbit One hasn't synced with the App ever since the last update. My phone software is up to date. No there's no other bluetooth devices on. Yes the One shows steps on the actual device. So now I just synced the One to my computer...  the little Sync box said it had found my device and synced, but not showing any steps for yesterday or today on the Fitbit Website. I read the posts by people saying that if you restart the device more than a few times, it won't work or it just starts eating up battery time. I see no reason to try to "fix" my device when lots of people are posting problems about the App and the Website syncs. Fitbit - get your act together again, please.

Well, I was beginning to think it was a Mac issue but it seems to be universal. We aren't the only ones with this problem. I just did a scan of all the postings related to this issue and any posting that had to do with a syncing problem since Feb 2nd, have the MOST views which tells me we aren't alone however others just don't speak up and therefore nothing will be done. Try a restart with your mobile device. It may work but charge your Fitbit first as each restart eats up battery life. Oh how I wish Fitbit would act upon our complaints but they aren't doing anything

Thank you for posting! The more people who voice their complaints the better the chance that this issue will be resolved.
