Fitbit tracker timezone is not updating correctly.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced or knows how to fix:

We recently took a plane to CA from Canada.  Suddenly my Fitbit stopped keeping time.  First it was 5 minutes off, then up to 3 hours.  I synced my fitbit with my phone (the app) every morning and still within an hour was no longer right.  We just returned and again synced the device to the app and after only 2 hours of being correct it is over an hour off.  Help.  I got the charge for the watch feature and suddenly with this trip the time is off!  Very frustrated!

Hi, @KristaSBubbles, I travel often with my Fitbit (mainly between the UK and the USA, both west and east coast), and though I have to say that I have never experienced exactly the issues you have, I will say that my personal view is that you should definitely turn "auto time zone" OFF.

With auto time zone off you will be in control of when the time zone changes and hopefully you should not experience these issues.

Hello @KristaSBubbles, thanks for joining us, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community! It's always nice to see you around @Julia_G, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

@KristaSBubbles, I've noticed @Julia_G provided some excellent tips to deal with this situation and I would like to suggest restarting your tracker and with Automatic Time Zone off, choose the one that suits you and sync your tracker afterwards. To turn it off, please open the Fitbit app, then tap on Account > Advance Settings.

If the time in your tracker is still off after performing this troubleshooting, please let me know, I'll be happy to continue helping you! Smiley Wink
