Fitbit while I'm asleep

So I noticed that fit bit was marking that I took steps while I was asleep as well as calories I burned. I know we lose calories while we sleep but it indicated I lost 400 during sleep. Plus last night I was awake and restless for a good hour and a half and this morning fitbit reported I was asleep during that time. I'm beginning to think it's just telling you what you want to hear and the only thing it monitors is heart rate.

Hello there @Adi92, welcome aboard to our Community. The correct way to translate this is you were Asleep during this time if you were not moving. If your movement were to strong or you were walking will read this as steps. If it is a short walk (i.e. a short walk to the kitchen and then you go back to the bed) It will give you steps but on your sleep section this will be read as well like you were restless too. Without ending your sleep section.

Regard the calories, keep in mind that your tracker after it goes back to zero at midnight it will count immediately your BMR as you mentioned, plus those steps when you were moving during the night it will increase a little the calorie count.

If you think this is not correct, my next recommendation is to review how sensitive is configure your tracker, this can be found on your device settings. If is Normal, then this is not the case and I will give it a try with a restart. If you need the steps, it can be found in Mystique's post.

But make sure first that your steps match with the restless time your graph is showing, as this will indicate if your tracker is reading your activity correctly.

Keep me posted , I will be happy to assist you further.
