Fitbit workouts not syncing with Discovery app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit workouts are not syncing with my Discovery app. I have revoked access to the app on Fitbit account and then relinked it on my Discovery app, but the last syncing is almost a week ago. I am not sure where the problem lies? Anyone else having this problem? TIA.

Hi @Fran91. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried prior posting. I'm sorry that your Fitbit workouts are still not syncing with Discovery, and let's work on this together. Just to confirm, are your workouts syncing correctly with your Fitbit account? If so, please make sure the Discovery app is updated to the latest version and try the following steps:

  1. Revoke the access between Discovery and Fitbit one more time from the fitbit.com dashboard.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and the Discovery app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Discovery app and link your device one more time

Give it a try and if the issue persist please get in touch with the Discovery app team, so they can see what other suggestions are left to try.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

What is the “Discovery app”?

Hi @LizzyFitbit

Thank you for your reply. Yes, my Fitbit is syncing with my Fitbit
app/account. I have updated to the latest versions of both the Fitbit and
Discovery apps.

Unfortunately when I go to revoke access to the Discovery app, it's not
there as an option to revoke. And when I go onto the Discovery app, it's
already linked, and I've tried numerous times to de-link it, but that
doesn't work; it just stays linked. I've phoned Discovery, and they say
it's all good on their side, and that I should try a manual sync, which I
did but only from my Fitbit to the Fitbit app.

I will try phone them again. Thanks for your help.

Kind regards

Frances

Hi @lilbitcounts2 and @Fran91, I'm glad to see you here again.

@lilbitcounts2, as it was mentioned before Discovery app is an application in South Africa that can be integrated with Fitbit to share certain stats.

@Fran91, thanks for keeping me updated, as well for trying the steps posted above. I'm glad that you were able to get in touch with them, and it seems odd that you're unable to revoke access for your online dashboard. Since you mentioned that you'll phone them again, please ask them to help you unlink the Discovery app with Fitbit so you can connect them again and sync your information.

I'll be around, keep me updated!

Hi @LizzyFitbit,

I am experiencing the exact same thing as @Fran91. I did everything as mentioned as well, and still no luck. I haven't phoned Discovery though - please keep us updated if Discovery could fix it.

Could the new update of the iOS be the issue? I did it recently and about the same time I noticed the apps weren't syncing.

Thanks, much appreciated for any advice and updates.

Hi @Mon_nas

I’m sorry to hear that, it is very frustrating.

Discovery was able to fix the problem, after a few phone calls. It could be the iOS update, I think a few people have been having issues with it. Maybe phone Discovery and see if they can help you, they’re quite helpful. 🙂

Hi @Mon_nas, welcome on board. @Fran91, it's always great to see you here and thanks for the update. I'm glad everything is working for you!

@Mon_nas, thanks for sharing that you've the same situation and for trying the steps suggested in this thread. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the recent iOS update, however if your information is syncing correctly with your Fitbit app the best would be to contact Discovery as our friend @Fran91 did, this way you can receive more details about this behavior and receive assistance.

I'll stay around if you have another question. 😉
