Flex 2 won't sync with my IPhone.

Every time I charge the battery my flex 2 won't sync. I have tried resetting and re-adding the tracker to the app. And as of today, the iPhone Bluetooth can't even find it.

I'm becoming very disappointed with Fitbit

Note: I have iOS 10.2

Hey @Rlb69@Jay47@GerdM! Welcome to the Community!

@GerdM Glad to hear tha it is working now! If you need anything esle be sure to let me know.

@Jay47@Rlb69 Have you tried turning the iPad off and then trying to sync with the iPhone? I've seen instances where the tablet is not letting the tracker sync directly to the phone and when the tablet is turned off, it goes through smoothly.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Very Happy

Thanks for stepping into the Community @GerdM!

I'd like to help you find out what's happening. Are any of the lights on the Fitbit Flex 2 turning on while it is not connected to the charging cable? Are you getting any sort of error message? Did you try to set the notifications before this started happening?

Hope to help you get back in track soon! Smiley Very Happy

I'm having the same problem as of yesterday.  My charge 2 suddenly stopped syncing. I removed the Fitbit app off my iPad so now it's only on my iPhone.  I see nothing different from when it synced to now. 2 days confused

Welcome to the Forums @Patty3961!

I'd like to suggest that you go through these troubleshooting steps to get your Fitbit Charge 2 to sync again to your iPhone.

If none of the steps do the trick, please also respond to the questions I posted above. They should be able to give me a bit more insight into what's happening.

Keep me posted on how it goes!

Same here!  I've done all the troubleshooting options, deleted and reinstalled the app...everything.  Please let me know if you figure it out. And BTW, it works fine on my iPad but I don't use that as much.  I want it on my iPhone.

It's working now!

The first couple of times I charged the flex2 I used the USBoutlet on a power bar and it wouldn't sync with my iPhone and the Bluetooth was unable to find the device although the lights flashed when I double tapped. I then tried charging it on my laptop (Windows 10) and the same thing happened. But when I attached the charger to an iPad and inserted the pebble to reset it, it synced. So, this time I charged it on my iPad, and as soon as it finished charging I synced it with my iPhone. It worked right away.

Note: I used the lightning to USB adapter to attach the charger to the iPad and turned off the auto lock while the flex2 was charging. The battery drain on the iPad wasn't too bad. It lost about 10% power.

Totally worked right away. You have to shut down/restart your iPad completely. As soon as I did it, my iPhone asked to pair Bluetooth! Thank goodness!!

Hey @Patty3961 and @Rlb69!

@Rlb69 Glad to hear that it is working now! Be sure to let me know if you have any questions!

@Patty3961, What exactly is your app showing? Could you please take a screen shot and then post it here? That way I'll be able to determine exactly what's going on.

Look forward to continue helping you out!

I have tried all ov f the above several times. I deleted my ONE tracker, I took the app off my Ipad as I only need it on my phone. It found my phone twice but was gone in a few minutes.  Full charged.

True but as soon as I turned my Ipad back on , the tracker was gone from my phone again. I deleted the app from the Ipad

Hey @Patty3961! Welcome to the Forums @LindaUhrich!

@Patty3961 It seems like the screen shots didn't come through. Please try to post them once again directly from the Community and not form an email.

@LindaUhrich In this case I'd like to suggest that you go into your iPhone and iPad's Bluetooth settings. Once there, look for your Fitbit and delete it from both lists. Finally, run the setup process once again.

Let me know how it goes.

Hey @LindaUhrich!

That is very interesting. I'd have to keep that in mind. If you do not mind me asking, did the 'Handoff' setting had any description? If so, what did it say? I'd like to know as much as I can about that.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!

hi

Handoff in the ipad settings allows you to open something on one device and
have it open on other devices via iCloud. Shutting it off fixed my problem.
I really only need Fitbit on my phone and shutting this off did not affect
any of my ither synced apps.

Both my Fitbit and iPad are new..birthday!. But my old devices there was
no problem

Hello,

I just bought the Flex 2 a few hours ago. I used to have the originaly Flex which worked just fine. I have charged the Flex 2 and I am trying to pair the iPhone with it, but it will not recognize my Flex 2 at all. I have done all the troubleshooting options, but nothing works. My Bluetooth is on and functioning. Not sure what else I can do here and it is was purchased less than 3 hours ago...
