This morning went to enter foods and after pressing the add button from the dashboard instead of an arch coming up with my selection of what to do I was presented with a white rectangular area asking me to select what I wanted - selected add food which took me to one page - to enter recent custom or frequent foods - all previously eaten foods were not available!?!? where did they go?? if I want to enter my breakfast for example I have to enter it as a custom food and go through all the hassle of scanning the product again and entering all the info - But there is no way of accessing my foods from when I got the fitbit nearly 3 weeks ago!!! So the add food is not presenting itself as yesterday or other days - rang fitbit and they asked me for screenshots and told me not to uninstall and reinstall the app! they're now closed till Monday so I doubt anything will happen till then if at all? This must be a glitch at their end but until they sort it out the app on my phone is just a pain in the a** has anyone else had this problem? thanks -

I've found that the better option for recording yohr foods is to use MyFitnessPal and set it to sync with the Fitbit app.
It has loads more options and customisations than the Fitbit app, and it syncs nicely.
I love the way I can create custom meals using pre-existing meals, and / or ingredients.
You can scan barcodes which will pretty accurately find the ingredients or meals. It even has an extensive database, including Aussie foods, which is awesome. Using Google doesn't come close to the accuracy.
One thing I love about Fitbit is that you can link other apps and use them to monitor your fitness, foods and other information, then sync them with the Fitbit app. It's perfect for monitoring things that Fitbit monitors, but not perfectly.
