Food tracking - phantom additional food entries happen sporadically

Fitbit app version 4.08 (40845005), iOS version 17.2.1

Sporadically - and specifically today about 1/2 hour ago 11:20am PST, I attempted to add Starbucks Vanilla Soymilk to my Food tracking for the day, and suddenly large selection of foods that I often eat with the Soymilk also happened to be logged. This has happened a few times, and it looks like something to do with how the app processes user input in the "PREVIOUSLY EATEN WITH" foods list.

I noticed that in general when I am entering food in the "Add Food" page for a specific food, the app will appear to refresh, or pause and reset. When this happens the list of "PREVIOUSLY EATEN WITH" foods will often become impossible to select food volumes, as the volume selection will simply disappear. Additionally, when this 'refresh' happens, the previous foods that I already selected will either change to a different item in the list or suddenly become unselected.

This has happened a few times recently. Like perhaps once every couple of days, and I have to go back and delete all of the foods that were added to maintain accuracy.

For example, this morning at 10:52am Pacific time, I added Pain Du George (top item), and when I clicked "Log" and was sent back to the main food page, suddenly there were six additional foods in the morning. I have to go through and delete those now. This has cost me extra time.

Does nobody else use the food tracker in fitbit?!? Or is this issue just affecting me? 😄

What food trackers do people here use? I find it convenient to use Fitbit because it compares my calories in to calories out directly in the app, however given all the issues I've had, it's just too much extra work for me to manage the nonsense.

Does Whoop or Garmin have similar features?
