@ruth67 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your missing friends. Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Let me know how it goes.

I have the same problem. I logged out and restarted the phone because for over a week my friends' steps weren't syncing. Now my friends have completely disappeared. So... now what?

What a ridiculously buggy app.

I have the same problem.  Steps were not updating on the friends tab in the Community section of the mobile app on my iPhone.  I verified that the web interface was operating correctly, then logged out of the app on my phone and logged back in (as suggested frequently by Fitbit in other threads here).

Problem solved!  I have no friends on the Friends tab, so it no longer reports old data!  I still have friends in the profile section in the mobile app and on the web interface, and the seven-day totals are still reported for my friends in the web interface.

I've been watching this post since last summer but nothing appears to be answered here.

Back in August 2019 my friends all disappeared from my android app. They still exist on the online app but I don't really use this which is why this is so frustrating. I thought this was a bug that was going to be sorted by fitbit but it now appears to be forgotten about.

I've done all the usual things to no avail several times since last August- log out, phone off, fitbit off etc.

The thing I love most about my fitbit is the community side of the app but if this isn't going to be fixed I might as well get a Garmin. My surge 2 is coming up for replacement but I'm not going to bother with another fitbit if I've lost this functionality permenantly.

Please help!

I commented on someone else's post but wanted to make sure you saw it. I realized I signed in on my other email where none of my friends we showing, etc. And went into my other email and they were all there! I hope that helps!

I realised I never updated this. Turned out I needed to update the software on my phone. Annoyingly my old Android phone isn't supported by Fitbit anymore though I did find an older version of the software I could download independently so used that. All has been good since...

It owud be good if older Android OS were better supported though but hey
