GPS map looks jagged and is inaccurate.

Hi - just had my Charge 2 for a few weeks all going ok and no issues until I started using the GPS function on my iPhone when cycling.  Sometimes all is well but mostly I get a "saw-tooth" pattern when synching that gives really inaccurate speed/distance results.  I don't cycle that fast (or slowly)!

Anyone else had this problem?

Thank you.

Hello @OldSailor, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

When cycling, do you normally do it in an open space or do you have buildings or trees nearby? Do you experience this issue with other exercise such as Walk or Run?

I would appreciate if you can reply to me with a screenshot of your map (or maps) affected so I can check this further. Additionally, please go to your online Dashboard and check if your maps are registering correctly there.

I'll be waiting for your reply, thanks for your patience with this matter.

Hi Marco,

The cycling is in open air - lots of spaces - good GPS connections.

The problem is shown in the same way in teh on-line dashboard and on my
iPhone app.

So yesterday it looked limes this:

The distance/speed are actually about twice the amount shown - only the
time is correct.

Additionally, the synching process is now not working properly. The number
of steps and HR gets transmitted across but no other data (such as sleep
and exercise data) and I get the two "whirling arrows" indicating syncing
but they never stop!

I have tried re-starting my iPhone several times and clearing more memory;
I have re-started my tracker several times also. My Bluetooth and iPhone
are fine on other devices/apps including Google maps/GPS. I have deleted
and re-loaded the App several times (that sometimes appears to improve
things for the next synch but never permanently).

I am running out of ideas and have tried to contact Fitbit support and
follow their suggestions but none have worked. Losing confidence in this
particular tracker!

Presumably if GPS maps do not work accurately on any Fitbit device, all of the data churned out is then false?
