Have to log in to iOS everytime

For the last several days I cannot access my steps on the Fitbit app on my iPhone without first re-entering my email address and password.  It always used to stay logged in -- what gives??

   Still stays logged in to the Fitbit app on my Windows 10 PC, so I don't think it is my Charge 2 device

 

It seems like in the last 2-3 months I am having lots of difficulties syncing with the iPhone (an iPhone 6 running the latest iOS).  I don;t know if this is Fitbit's issue or Apple's -- but it is really annoying.  It all used TO JUST WORK -- but no longer.

Hi @acbyram. It's Fitbit that's asking you to login, right? I ask because there is a phishing bug going around on the iPhones where it looks like you have to keep entering your Apple login name and password. If this is what's happening, keep selecting Cancel and change your Apple ID password immediately! This bug is trying to capture your Apple password. 

 

But if it truly Fitbit requiring the continuous logins, then the problem likely lies someone between all the Apple IOS updates and Fitbit's attempts to stay up to date with the updates. Here is my suggestion on how to resolve the issue.

 

First, make sure you are on the latest update for the Fitbit app. Then, remove your Fitbit device from the Fitbit app and delete the app. Go into your iPhone settings. Select Bluetooth and Forget the Fitbit device. Then, make sure you are on the latest IOS version.

 

Reset your Fitbit device. Instructions are here. Please do it three times in quick succession. Make sure your device is fully charged.


Wait a few minutes then reinstall the Fitbit app and set up your device again. It will automatically ask you about pairing it to the iPhone's Bluetooth.

This has worked for others. Hopefully, this will do the trick for you. This process gets all the updates in sync with the others. Please let us know if this works.
