Heart rate doesn't seem to get recorded accurate.

Hello. I've been a Fitbit user for a while now and haven't had any real complaints but recently (the past 4 days) upon waking and syncing my Charge 2 my heart rate doesn't seem right. During the night my HR will go between 40-48 and when I sync my resting stays at 50. Seems like no matter how much or how little activity happens during the day and regardless of how high or low my HR is at night my resting HR is at 50. I've looked back at similar HR data and have noticed that on these days my resting HR synced between 45-46. I've tried restarting everything and I also deleted and reloaded the app on my phone thinking it's the app and not the tracker. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? Thanks, Fitbit Community.

Hello @Shobescat thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. 🙂

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know you've already tried some troubleshooting steps in hopes to resolve this situation. At this moment we have not received reports of widespread issues affecting the heart rate monitor in the Charge 2.

However, as you have restarted your device already, I would like to suggest you to set up your Charge 2 as a new device in your account to reset the connection between the phone and your device. Note that all the information already stored in your account won't get deleted as it gets stored in our servers and not in your phone.

To set up your Charge 2 as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

Give these steps a try and let us know the outcome!
