Good Afternoon,
Has anyone noticed a higher or more inaccurate Heart Rate data on the Blaze since the recent iOS update ?
I do not believe there should be a correlation, however, since updating to the new ios App. My tracker fluctuates between sustained high heart rate data.(119 etc or higher while simply lying in bed) or sometimes 50s when I am a bit more active.
There are two blaze trackers in my household and the one originally paired with no update to app seems to carry the correct Heart Rate Data, while the other, which used to work well, has become more erratic and seemingly unreliable since the update.
Any others experience this ? I have reset three or so times to date.

Hi @Brad.,
Updating the Fitbit App shouldn't have any influence over your heart rate accuracy; but: location of wear, tightness of the band, and type of movement definitely do. I would recommend:
1. Making sure that you are wearing the tracker higher up on your wrist, preferably two to three fingers width above the wrist. Blood flow increases the higher up you go on the arm, which results in improved HR accuracy.
2. Don't wear your tracker too tight; this could potentially restrict blood flow and influence HR readings. I'd recommend wearing your tracker snug, but not constricting.
3. If you are doing workouts where your wrists are moving non-rhythmically and vigorously (ie boxing, P90X, etc.), the movement could prevent the HR sensor from finding an accurate heart rate. In instances like this, try relaxing your wrist for around 10 seconds and then you should see an accurate HR reading again.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Derrick, I agree the app shouldnt affect the HR readings hence my anxiety, I'll be sure to do as suggested above and closely monitor it.
