Fitbit Update 5/17/2017:  Apologies for the delay in updating this thread. We are still aware of this issue and currently working with our team on a fix.

There is a similar thread that has posted updates here. Thanks again for your patience. We continue to monitor this issue and will update as soon as we have a fix.

Fitbit Update 4/26:  There is a known issue where some users' Hourly Activity Goal graph does not update even though they've reached 250 steps within an hour time frame.

This is a known issue that our team is currently working to resolve. Thanks for everybody's patience while this is being worked out.

I gave a nasty review on MugBook and they came back with the same nonsense as when you text them. Send us your email associated with the account so we can look into it. I know what would happen next. The same old "restart, reconnect your device to the app update the app yada yada.  Just look at the dang link I posted to see all of these pissed off people who probably will never purchase your 💩 again.

Work so hard to get the "rainbow"--on my fitblazevbit not on my phone.  Boo!!

He never replies to anything. Fitbit are going to find themselves losing customers as we all head elsewhere!

Upon finally finding my exact question posted by another, I'm frustrated to discover that it has yet to be resolved almost a year after said post. It's annoying to see I've done more than my required 250 steps/hr and yet it is not counting on my tracker. Please, am I missing an update on this?

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry to hear about all the issues with the reminders to move feature. I'll do some research as to why this issue is still happening and report back.

I understand you've been waiting a while for a response, please allow to look into this.

Thanks!

RickyFitbit,

From my experimentation, I can tell you what's happening.  First of all, it looks like my Blaze is counting correctly, and the problem is with the app and only with the app.  Clearly, the watch and the app are counting differently to determine which steps count against each hour.

The problem is that the steps from the first few minutes of the hour (for sure less than 5 minutes) are counted by the FitBit App against the previous hour.  I've done multiple experiments and, so far, everything confirms this.  For example, I was close to but definitely not over 250 steps at the end of one hour, and I started walking before the hour ended and forced a sync every 20-30 seconds.  As much as 3 minutes into the new hour I've seen the dot appear on the app -- for the previous hour, where the watch (correctly) says I didn't walk 250 steps.  The previous syncs were working, by the way.  Everything that you'd expect to update did, in agreement with the watch, except the dot.

If I walk 250 steps in one hour, but 50 of those steps are counted against the previous hour, then the app will think I only walked 200 steps and will not give the red dot, when the watch, counting correctly, will.

Also, if I do not walk at all for the first five minutes of each hour, so far, I have not seen a discrepancy between the Blaze and the app for that hour.

I'm now starting to experience this problem. I got 10/10 hours today, my Fitbit even did the little celebratory thingy. Now I looked at the app and site dashboard tonight and I'm missing 2 hours 😕

Never had this problem before, as far as I'm aware. Even yesterday it worked fine and I got 10/10. Argh.

For the first time ever I'm having a mismatch of information. My Fitbit charge 2 shows 5/10 hourly completions and my app shows 6/10?! Granted at 11:58 I started running like a mad man to hit my goal... let me know if you want photos.

Same issue here, repeatedly. Lost two hours today that I know I hit over 250 steps and my charge2 recognises that, but not the app...

Bought mine 4 months ago and this feature has always been problematic - the app and watch are often out of sync for the steps per hour.  I didn't realize how rampant it was until I stumbled over this year old thread. I'm an engineer and it's one thing to have a bug - it happens.  However it's extremely irritating and disingenuous to have the vendor tell you they're fixing it, only to find there is still no resolution a year later.  Just be honest and tell customers you have no intention of ever working on this.

Has this issue been fixed yet?

I am glad I am not the only one having this problem. I have only had my Fitbit for a few weeks now. It was working fine for the first week, immediately updating my steps and calorie intake  and expenditure etc. Wonderful, really impressed. However things stopped working  on Saturday despite repeated attempts of resetting and charging the bit. I was almost ready to return the item and request my money back!

I had thought of returning it but will hang on a while longer for the issue to be resolved. Woman Indifferent

I just noticed this morning that Fitbit released an update to their iOS app (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/iOS-App-Version-2-35-is-now-available-4-25-17/td-p/1444784) and when I saw it I got my hopes up that they will finally address this annoying bug that has been ongoing for over a year with the incorrect hourly goal recording. However, the link above does not mention "bug fixes" as some of the other releases do, hopefully they just forgot to specify this. I'll be watching the next few days to see if the problem still occurs regardless. I work for a tech company and we have a regular schedule where nearly all bugs that are reported to us are addressed and fixed within two weeks. Fitbit's unresponsiveness to this is unacceptable.

Do. Not. Wait. This issue will not be fixed.  Get your money back while you still can.  That is the takeaway from the last 12 months of posts here.

Fitbit Update 4/26

There is a known issue where some users' Hourly Activity Goal graph does not update even though they've reached 250 steps within an hour time frame.

This is a known issue that our team is currently working to resolve. Thanks for everybody's patience while this is being worked out.

My message to @DerrickS reads:

Your latest release, 2.35 4/25/17, just arrived. Were there any bug fixes included?

If so, can you list the bug fixes?

Specifically, does it fix the "Fitbit Hourly Graph Not Updating" bug that is featured in the yearlong forum thread at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Hourly-Activity-Graph-Not-Updating/td-p/1327557 ?

We have all, myself included, had multiple interactions with customer support, who each time repeat the same canned troubleshooting steps, none of which resolve the problem.

I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers,

Susan

Another day, another disappointment. I know it's just a green electronic star, but darn it when I realized at 10AM my sync was already off it's frustrating

@Jksneddon - did you happen to update your iOS app to v 2.35 which was released yesterday (4/25)? Just curious if the bug still occurred for you even after the latest update. My app happened to sync all my hours correctly today after I updated, but it could just be the coincidental random nature of this bug.

@RickyFitbit - Thanks for the response on 4/18/17. However, I'm very surprised that your entire response is regarding a different issue other than the main topic of this thread, the one that dozens if not over a hundred people are extremely frustrated about and continually inquiring about with no indication of any sort of response with any progress from any of the moderators - that being the incorrect recording of the hourly goals after syncing that has been going on for over a year now. Any word on that?
