How do I add friend outside of forums?

I have an iPhone, as does my boyfriend. We both have fitbits but dont post to the forums(until right now!) I want to add him as a Fitbit friend so I can hopefully message him and reply to his messages my watch but cannot figure out how. Thanks in advance!

Hello @TwoNjenn5 and welcome to the Community.  This is the path to invite him.  Tap on the You icon in the lower right of your Fitbit app > Friends > tap on the pink Add Friends.  Choose from among the ways to invite him.

I apologize if I’m misreading your comments about answering messages from the Fitbit.  Fitbit has a feature called Quick Replies and this is how to respond to a text.  Unfortunately, Quick Replies aren’t available on iPhones, only Android phones.  This is an Apple limitation and there is nothing Fitbit can do about it.  If this doesn’t answer your question, can you ask it a different way.
