You can not. They do disappear after 30 days

It's great to see you around @KimmyWayne, thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself and @WendyB for stopping by.

Could you please be more specific? Would you like to delete the messages on the Blaze or the messages you receive via the Fitbit app? If it is from the tracker, I recommend trying to shutdown the tracker by swiping to settings and tap Shut Down.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

@KimmyWayne which messages on the app do you want to delete?

Friends notifications or the community. Notifications, i don't think either can be deleted. I'm not sure what the problem is with letting them delete aft3r thrb30 day period.

Messages do not delete after 30 days I have messages from 45 days ago off horrible men who l dont know harassing me... there should be a delete option really!

Are you seeing this in your messages on your Fitbit app? Or online at Fitbit.com or on the Fitbit itself? My Fitbit app as well as on Fitbit.com only show the last 20 or so messages I’ve received (not talking about notifications). I’d like to delete/purge PM -private messages daily as they serve no purpose once I’ve read them. Anyone have any idea how to do this? There should be a delete option as I’ve had vile things sent to me from scammers & pervs & who wants to see that every time they go into their PM screen.

@SunsetRunner are these messages on the Blaze itself, we are in the Blaze hardware forum?

We also can get PM's through this communities web site. Where there will be a delete button.

With the Fitbit App under the notifications tap there will be notifications of friends who have posted in the community, these are not Private Messages and will be removed in 30 days from the day they posted.

Under the community tab there is also a message tab where PM's are displayed, ate these the PM's your referring to?

I found logging out of Fitbit app will delete he messaged older then 30 days.. anything before that stays which is very annoying and something I think Fitbit should fix... like you I don’t want random pervs messages staying on my inbox for 30 days

Hey there @Robbievee and @Lyn01Welcome to the Community!

@Robbieveehave you tried already restarting your phone? If you are concerned about messages in the app, please note that these should be deleted automatically after 30 days. Currently there's a bug, so most likely they will still appear. We have already escalated this situation, so our engineers are aware of it.

If you have any further questions, please let me know!

Hi Grace,
I've tried that a few times and it still isn't working, so if there's a bug then I'm thinking that's probably it.
Will we be notified once it's fixed?
Thank you,

Has there been any update on this? I was experiencing the same thing. Messages on my Fitbit app clearly state "37 days ago" or "45 days ago"

I have logged out of the app and back in with no change

I have rebooted my phone with no change

Is this fix in the wheelhouse for anytime soon? It does seem odd that you wouldn't allow us to delete messages lol

I dont know about updates or what type of phone you have. With my android the do get removed at the 30 day mark.

The fitbit app has always seemed a little buggy.

Plus, why not just give the delete option lol

Hello @GraceGFitbit just wondering if this is going to be resolved anytime soon? I have messages from 165 days ago that STILL have not deleted, even with logging out and restarting my phone.
