Hello Community!
Is there a way to crop an exercise entry? Today, I did a treadmill run of about 35 minutes, and didn't realize I didn't turn off the workout for, like, 20 minutes after!!!

Open the fitbit iOS and locate the exercise you want to edit
Click on the ellipsis menu on top right (that's the ". . ." )
Select the start or stop date, and adjust the minutes (or hours!)

Thanks for this. The length of the activity is an issue for me when it syncs to another Healthcare platform, Discovery Vitality. The average heart rate over duration of the activity is important, so if I forget to stop it, of course my average is very low. However, I don't get the 3 dots to edit. I get a pencil and I can only edit the type of activity. Nothing else on the screen is editable. Anyone have any other ways to retrospectively fix this?

Hello @Clarkster, thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board.
Please note that only SmartTrack exercises stop automatically, as they're autodetected. If you started an exercise and forgot to stop it, the best way is to edit it. Tell me, are you using an Android phone? That would explain why you're seeing a pencil to edit your activity instead of the ellipsis (...) icon on top of the exercise's screen.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

How does this work on android or computer browser? I do not have the option to edit my exercises, the only thing that I see when I click those three dots is "export as TCX File" or "delete exercise"

It seems very strange that after 4 years this "Edit Exercise Details" feature is still only available in the iOS app!? You cannot simply edit the duration of an exercise using either the Android App or on the website!
Why is this feature not available in the Android app or on the website interface?

cont... Although I must say, using the "Edit Exercise Details" feature (on the iOS app) to reduce the time of an activity is not perfect by any means. I've just performed this action on a "Run" to reduce the end time by 10 minutes - since I forgot to stop the activity after getting the car and driving home (doh)!
Whilst it's reduced the apparent route on the map (GPS data removed). It's not actually reduced the total distance travelled or "steps"? (EDIT: Well, it does appear to have reduced these metrics on the "summary" page on the website, but not in the "details" and not in the app)?!
