How do I export my data from the Fitbit app?

Hello!

I have a few related questions. First is can I (and if so, how) export data from the mobile app? I don’t know how to do it from my laptop either although I expect I can easily figure that out.

HoweverI am looking to export exercise data only, and if possible to do so by exercise type. That’s actually pretty important.

thank you!

Hi @julesjmj. It's good to see you around.

Thanks for sharing these questions with us. While it's not possible to export your data from the Fitbit app; you can do this from your online dashboard by doing the following:

  1. Go to your fitbit.com dashboard and log into your account.
  2. Click the gear icon at the upper right corner, then Settings.
  3. Scroll down and look for Data Export.
  4. Select the time frame, the data (body, food, activities, sleep) you wish to export and file format.
  5. Then click Download and wait until the file is ready.

In case you'd like to export a complete archive of your Fitbit account data, I'd recommend reviewing this help article. Please note that you're not able to export your activities by exercise type. However, you can share this great idea in the Feature Suggestions board. That way, our developers can take it into consideration for new updates or product development.

Hope this helps.
