Does anyone know how I get the old dashboard back on my iOS app? I don’t have automatic updates turned on so I don’t know how this has happened? The new dashboard is not user friendly and set out very poorly

Hi everyone, thanks for participating in this thread. I'm sorry for my delayed response.

I appreciate you for taking the time to share your thoughts about the new dashboard. I understand where are you coming from about this experience, and I'm sorry that you've had an inconvenience with it. Our team worked on the Fitbit app to improve it based on our users feedback, and I'm sure your comments will not go unnoticed. While there isn't an option to revert to the old dashboard, we'll keep working on our products and services.

Feel free to reply back if you have another question.

Sorry, there is no going back.  Hopefully, with a little time, it will seem normal.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I can no longer view my live heart rate in the app either?

You should still be able to see your heart rate.  I don't know anything about that.

Hello @SunsetRunner I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. It's great to see you too @JohnnyRow, thanks for all your help.

@SunsetRunner I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. As @JohnnyRow mentioned, it's not possible to get the old design of the Dashboard back but you're more than welcome to add your vote on this suggested idea for our team to add an option to choose between Dashboard designs.

Now, when it comes to the heart rate tile, you should still be able to see your live heart rate when you're syncing your device or when it has connected to the app. If you're not able to see the tile, please tap on "Discover" tile on the bottom right corner of the screen, then tap on "Health & Wellness" > "Heart Rate" and tap on Add to Today.

Give this a try and let us know in case you need anything else.

I agree, this new dashboard is the worst. I’m more than disappointed, I’m disgusted. And fitbit is asking people to vote on a random thread about this? Why not push a poll to the app so we can all vote? It’s pretty apparent that this new version sucks (visually it’s garbage and the usefulness is a major downgrade) and users should at the very least have the option to choose old or new. Not impressed FitBit. At all.

Trying to sort my dads new app for him. Since the update it is no longer showing his sleep or heart rate on the main page. I have deleted and then readded them to ‘today’ but they still do not appear. Makes it pretty pointless, very annoying!!

I agree I absolutely hate the new dashboard , wish I had never changed 😡 how do I vote for getting it  reversed ? Thank you x

I hate this new dashboard too.  The layout sucks, the UI and usability sucks!  I regret updating to this lame new dashboard and really wish we had an option to actually try it out before making it a permanent switch.  Or at least giving us an option to revert back to the old tiles dashboard.

I agree with others - the new dashboard is a major step backwards.  It's hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would think that showing LESS information on a screen is an improvement.  You would have to think that the new dashboards was not shown to any users before release.  And in the IT world you ALWAYS make sure you can back out of any update, in case the new release fails or is unacceptable to the users.  Come on Fitbit.  Most of your software is excellent.

As well as being a real step backwards, the sleep, notifications and heart rate monitor are very badly bugged (Android identical)

This junk isn't ready for beta.

How can this be released to non beta testers with no roll back facility?

Yes this new dashboard is useless to me want calories back, maybe need to get a different watch and ap now. Not happy

It seems really slow.  Hitting the plus sign to add a food log is hit and miss here also. Too small a target? Looks pretty bad, and id hate to be on a smaller phone!

Redesigning for the sake of redesigning...sigh

I agree, the new dashboard is a major step backwards, why was it not made clear that once you switch you cannot go back?

Best Answer

I agree. This new dashboard is so annoying. It's ugly and shows less information than the old one. I WANT THE OLD ONE BACK! 😞

I agree the new dash is horrible.  Can’t sort tiles in any way.  Showing useless info at top.  How can we move tiles in the iOS app??

I am not using my fitbit as much as I did as do not like the new ap. Sorry
it is useless.

Absolutely agree.. the new version is a joke. I seriously consider switching to Garmin.

Half the screen is taken over by 'negative space', that is so negative I dont enjoy using it anymore.

Old dashboard was informative and simple. This one drives me mad even weeks after the update.

Its quite irritating to see the app celebrating my goals every time I open it no matter how many times I open it after its been achieved. 🤦‍:female_sign: Fitbit, do you really think I am retarded?

There is no respect for customers in this forced change.
