Does anyone know how I get the old dashboard back on my iOS app? I don’t have automatic updates turned on so I don’t know how this has happened? The new dashboard is not user friendly and set out very poorly

Why lie to people and put - if you don't like it you can change it back??

I totally hate the new Dashboard! I want the tiles back. I wish we had an option to switch back.

@SunsetRunner I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. As @JohnnyRow mentioned, it's not possible to get the old design of the Dashboard back but you're more than welcome to add your vote on this suggested idea for our team to add an option to choose between Dashboard designs.
Please tell me how to act to a locked discussion ?
Your team really welcome us to share our opinions? Seems the idea is clear enough but you guys just pretend not noticed it, and then asked us to share opinion is a locked link!

Hi lizzyfitbit
i am astonished that Fitbit changed the dashboard after “user feedback”. I am interested to know how many users actually notified Fitbit to tell you that
the dashboard design with tiles was seriously sub-standard and difficult to use
Did Fitbit ever consider ever actually inviting users to tryout the new dashboard?
With the tile design I was able to see all my goals on one screen (I had all the tiles loaded to the dashboard except two).
Now I have to scroll down a list - so I cannot just have a quick glance to see “where I am at”.
Scrolling down a list seems such an old fashioned idea - not an innovative advance.
Also when one achieved all their goals - steps, distance, calories burned and exercise minutes it was very motivational to see the flashing lime-green background- this may sound childish but it was most fulfilling to see success on such a day.
On days when I have achieved all my main goals I haven’t been aware of the back-screen flashing before all the goals turn aqua.
We are now presented such with boring colours (white and aqua) - which I can only assume was chosen to align the dashboard colours with the Fitbit app offered on the App Store.
My Apple Watch allows me to ‘create’ the design of my watch-face so a I can personalise the watch-face as I wish and change it as the mood takes me. I have ‘activity’ as one of my functions on my watch-face and I can see at a glance whether my activity goals have been reached (or are on track) at a glance - so I can see how I’m doing on any particular day. My three activity goals are calories expended during exercise, exercise minutes and hours active during ‘awake hours’ and each is a circle of differing colours which close when the goal is reached.
Also on my watch-face I have the local weather (wherever I happen to be), the time (wherever I happen to be), an ‘open an activity’ function for recording purposes, a timer, and the ability to open the heart rate function- which when open gives real time functionality.
Of course when the app is opened on my iPhone I can see more detailed info including other functionalities.
Although Fitbit allows me to choose my watch-face design .......full detailed information cannot be seen at a glance, I have to tap through the many screens, this is why the old dash board was so useful as on my iPhone screen all the chosen tiles could be seen ‘at a glance’ I could quickly see how I was doing AND all displayed on one iPhone screen.
It is so disappointing that Fitbit decided to change something that wasn’t broken. AND not giving their faithful users the choice of reverting back to the old screen.
Why - when offering the chance to switch to the new dashboard design was the new design not displayed? If I had seen the “disaster” offered .....I definitely would have stayed with the old design dashboard.[ if an users out there have not changed yet - DON’T!]
The new dashboard was kept a secret to the user - that is, until they opted for the new (but not innovative) design, then finding that they could not opt to change back.to the old dashboard!!!🥵 SHAME on you!!!
In conclusion.......the colours are boring, and the dashboard design listing my goals is a retrograde step.
My Apple Watch is now my buddy and my old faithful Fitbit is going into a drawer.
I have to conclude that the change was not done for the benefit of the user but for the company.
I also assume that one day those users who have not changed over to the new dashboard will receive a ‘Hang Tight - we’re cleaning things up’ - then finding that they have been changed over to the new dashboard design!
Shame on YOU!
I fear Fitbit will be loosing users to Apple or Garmin - Fitbit have “shot themselves in the foot” and the ‘jokes on you’.

Totally agree, you are now the third person saying they are switching to Garmin or the Apple watch that I know of.

Surely this is not good enough. Based on the reactions and lack of positive comments it is clear that a mistake has been made that should be rectified. How long does Fitbit take to consider the opinions of their customers?

I really do not like this new IOS dashboard at all. I use my phone to monitor daily and it is not only ugly but I don't like all these prompts from Fitbit. I was able to see everything much better before without having to scroll and scroll. Bad move. I want the old one back.

I totally agree with your response ,JAusten Iam still absolutely livid , hate hate hate the new design 😡 Unfortunately I had just bought a Fitbit charge 3 ( before the changes were made ) Also why is it I can’t keep the step count on my watch face permanently ? Each time I have to click 5 times to get it back to where it was ! So annoying !

Surely this is not good enough, why should I have to bet used to an inferior app layout?

I’m having issues with everything about it too, but the most annoying is that I can no longer control which apps it’s connected to through the Fitbit app. It takes me to the website and then doesn’t allow me to add new ones. It doesn’t sync to my health app anymore, my other apps don’t sync to it. It’s a horrible interface and it shouldn’t have been changed to this.itMs a major step backwards.

I don’t know if it is the new dashboard, but I no longer have steps counted or sleep recorded. I have the original Flex and it has served me well until the last upgrade. I have spent quite a bit of time with customer service & they are unable to help me sync it. The only thing they can offer is a 25% off the purchase of a new one. Is there any way to undo the upgrade & return to the previous one? I feel like they are forcing me to purchase a new Fitbit & I refuse to do so.

If you find a way, I want to be included. Fitbit dropped both my steps and sleep, two major reasons I have one. Also, it will no longer sync even after spending countless time with customer service. HELP!!

Does Fitbit even listen to their users? As many as I see here that are unsatisfied, it would seem NOT!

If you make a valid comment about a failed product or design issue it is regarded as Negative and removed. Not sure they even read or take notice

Has the upgrade anything to do with the failure of the Charge3 which results in a blank screen. It still syncs but cannot connect!

A couple of problems with the new layout:
1) Vertical display of stats is not visually appealing. Old format MUCH better.
2) Does NOT automatically show current date when doing a refresh in the a.m. You have to go to previous day, then forward to current day. User should not have to do this every day.
Please consider changing format to a grid, this is visually better.

I have to wonder as well. I bought my Fitbit 3 when it came out for a lot of health reasons The previous dashboard was colourful and easy to follow and quickly see your data. This scrolling is really not cool. This is like a preschooler came up with the design. Not professional at all. If I seen this before I bought my watch, I would have gone with something else.
