I keep getting very annoying banners in the app, telling me all kinds of random trivia (this morning's told me that I do ~1000 steps fewer on weekends than I do on weekdays so I should try to up my game on weekends. Gee, I'm so sorry that I'm incredibly active during the week and need some down time!) I literally hate these banners but can't for the life of me figure out how to get rid of them. I get them nearly every day. Can someone please tell me what to do?

Hi @RedEng, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the option to remove in-app banners. Thank you for your feedback, our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome.
You’ll see messages in the Fitbit app that give you personal insight into your health and wellness based on your Fitbit data. These messages may be about general wellness, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, sleep patterns, and more. Tap the X in the top right to dismiss a message. Provide feedback on a message by tapping the thumbs up icon or the thumbs down icon.
While there is no option to remove this feature, feel free to post your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. That way other users can comment and vote on the idea to show their support. You can read the FAQ to better understand how that board works. You can do a search first, in case someone else has already suggested your idea, or something similar.
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

Yes please remove this annoying feature ; frankly this is not a feature. I have been using Fitbit for several years 5 to 10 and this is not a feature. Very annoying waste of time and space approximately 40% of the screen. I doubt this “feature was requested by customers”. Again provide features that customers request and not advertising that the Fitbit marketing department wanted. I don’t have time to constantly click x to remove, which doesn’t always work. This is the kind of annoyance that is pushing me to Garmin or other.

Agreed! And recently the x to close the banner telling me how many days I met my step goal totally stopped working. I can’t get rid of this big box at the top of the app.

Agreed again, please remove or give us "the customer" the ability to remove these annoying remarks at the top of the dashboard page. Think about this; this top screen is the "Dashboard" (most important page; that's why they call it the "Dashboard" for the consumer; that's us; and it uses (wastes about 30%) of the screen page. And I presume you do realize that a cell phone is relatively small screen space to review important information.
This is just advertising from the marketing department. Frankly this makes me consider an alternative product.

I can’t get the x to work on the banner either. It is so annoying. Has anyone figured out of work around if the X won’t close the banner?

Great point: I have this issue as well; bad enough that we get these annoying ads; every time; and now the x doesn't work either. Great point.
