How do I remove the 2-factor authentication banner from the iOS app at the top?

I don't want to use 2-factor authentication, and pressing the "X" in the top right corner doesn't remove the banner.

So now 1/3 of the App screen is taken up at the top by this annoying, persistent banner

Two factor gets stuck when I enter my verification code and I can’t clear the banner on my dashboard. It takes up so much screen and is very annoying. Anyone else having this issue?

Welcome to the forums, @New_FBC5_User.

Thanks for the details provided. I understand how you're feeling about that banner and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. Because it won't go away after tapping the "X" icon, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  5. Pull down on the screen to force a manual sync and check your details.

I have this issue and the above steps did not resolve it.  Please let us know what will resolve this issue as it simply looks like Fitbit wants to force its users to provide their phone number and that’s not acceptable behavior.
