Reinstalled iOS app stuck with “Password not secure” despite changing password

I changed my Fitbit password recently after being notified it was compromised online. I have used that new password to login here (the Fitbit website) and to the Android app with no problems, but I can’t get the iOS app to let me login, it keeps bringing up the “Password not secure — Change password” pop-up immediately after the login. I have removed and reinstalled the Fitbit app on iOS twice now (latest version available on iPadOS 15.1).

 

Any suggestions?
