How do I set daily calorie deficit goal?

The interface used to be fairly intuitive, but now I find myself stuck.  I would like to change my daily calorie deficit goal.  That's the one that adjusts to different exercise levels (I have heavier and lighter days) and lets me know my remaining based on the daily deficit goal and what I've expended.  All I see is daily calorie goal, which is usually nonsense for my case. I rely heavily on this feature- and, of course, I don't need to change it very often but I do rely on it.  Thank you.

I found it on iOS (I may have never done this from the phone before- I used to use the web app):  Profile photo -> Fitbit Settings -> [Preferences Section] Nutrition & weight -> [Nutrition Section] Food

Alas, I spoke too soon.  Although those steps will take you to the screen that shows the current calorie deficit, my attempt to change it led to a path that didn't allow me to set a new one but rather to set a number that will be largely useless.  Sigh.  At least it didn't erase by previous number, so now I just need to do a little mental arithmetic to get my numbers.
