I just immediately lost 2,500 steps! That's a quarter of my daily target in an instant!
OK, how do we use two different FitBit trackers on one account? I know that feature was added a year or two ago.
I replaced my FitBit One six months ago with a FitBit Charge HR. The safety department at my employer has started hammering down quite a bit on skilled TMs wearing any sort of jewelry on the job, including fitness tracker bands, so, while I'm at work, I've started using my FitBit One again. I'd read that I could use both devices on my account. I have both of my devices setup on with my account. I got to work and had 4,276 steps on my Charge. I put my Charge away in my lunch box for the day and put my One in my pocket. 30 or 40 minutes later I had 1,773 step on my One and it synced up with my iPhone. My step counts didn't add. It took the lower of the two and went from 4,276 to 1,773. I lost 2,500 steps!
How the heck is this whole using two trackers on one account thing supposed to work?
Thanks.

Hi, @bfollowell , it works pretty well, although every now and again I do lose a few steps... The secret is to make sure that you sync your trackers when you swap over. Make sure both trackers sync, so that before you swap to wearing your One it is updated with the steps on your Charge HR.

I lose steps everytime I make the switch and I DO sync to the app before the switch. The app takes the additional steps from the flex, but when I put the hr charge on, the charge will take it for a second and then syncs back to the steps before I had the flex steps and the app changes back too. Now I'm being told by "support" that I can't use two different fitbits at different times and be able to sync them. That is not what has been advertised. 😞

@ZumbaRox, what you have been told by Customer Support is incorrect. You can use two Fitbits at different times. However you have to sync, and keep syncing before you even move the Fitbit you are switching to. So for example, if you are wearing your Flex and want to swap to the Charge HR, you have to sync your Flex without moving your Charge HR, and keep syncing until the CHR shows the steps on your Flex. It is not enough to see them on the app -- they have to be on the CHR. I usually have to force sync several times before everything is synced through when swapping Fitbits. This can often take several minutes, which admittedly is annoying when you just want to swap trackers and go...
So, my experience with just doing a swap took almost 10 minutes. I checked my account: it said 258 steps. My Charge HR said 1432. I synced and my account said 1432. I checked my Blaze and it still said 258. I forced another sync on my Charge HR, but this time it got stuck on Looking. Everything said Connected, but the footsteps on the CHR still didn't sync through to the Blaze. So I went outside, still wearing my CHR and still without moving my Blaze, because sometimes the Bluetooth interfered with eachother. Once I was outside, the CHR synced. I went back inside, but by then the CHR had 1458 steps. I checked the Blaze, still without putting it on. It now said 1432 (getting closer! but I wanted all my steps). I forced one more sync and FINALLY both said 1458. THEN I switched trackers...
