@ClaWhi  Gently press and pull down on the screen to sync manually.  You'll see an animated, circular arrow just below Today.  The Arrow moves upp off the screen when you pulled down far enough.  Here is a link to Fitbit's Help article on the app.  Choosing your focus and the metrics groupings are very different from the previous version.  I hope the Help article will help you customize your dashboard.

I have identified four different ways that can be used to synchronize or refresh the iOS application home screens. First is the synchronize button near the bottom of the last screen. The second method is the pull to refresh, and I have found it usually takes three, four or more times pulling in order to get a complete screen refresh. A very effective way of synchronizing. The screen is to click on device/app in the upper left-hand corner then click on your tracker and then scroll down to synchronize now. Again, you will need to do this three, four or more times in order to get a complete refresh . My new favorite, which is what I consider to be the most effective is to click on previous day at the top of the screen and then click on next day. This seems to work best of all, and does not usually require more than one attempt. I do use all of the methods  listed above and have listed them from least effective to most effective based on my personal experience. I have dictated this on my iPhone, and hope that you will be able to understand my ramblings. I am a blind user, who is never seen the screen on my tracker or on my iPhone.  I hope you will find the information helpful along with anyone else who should read this thread.
