How to change activity type on Fitbit 2 iOS app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I log my exercise on the app "track exercise" which is a mix of walking and elliptical. The app automatically works out when I'm walking and on Friday worked out elliptical when I used my cross trainer but today when I used my cross trainer it registered as a walk for some reason. I can't work out how to change it either but when it registered as elliptical on Friday I can see how to change it to walking. Can anyone help please?

Hi there @Pamster67, welcome aboard to our Community. Note there difference between the exercise that allows to modify the label of an exercise. With other exercises the option is not available and is require to enter a new manual activity.

  1. On the Fitbit app dashboard tap the Exercise tile to open your exercise history. This is the tile that says "Track exercise" if you haven't worked out today.
  2. Tap the stopwatch icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Log.
  4. Tap a recent activity or search for an exercise type.
  5. Adjust the activity details and tap Add.

Now if you have a tracker paired to your account, some of the newest models includes the SmartTrack feature, which is your tracker in charge to identify what type of exercise you're doing without worrying about the category of the exercise.

This other post will give you a brief explanation of what type of activities can be modify. it might provide you more information.

Hope this information helps. See you around!
