How to change to set continious sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Because the heartrate is not always displayed realtime in the app, I was used to uncheck/check continious sync, but suddenly I can't find this option anymore. Where did it go?

They removed the setting for some reason. It’s disappeared from my app too

Annoying. It isn't mentioned in the latest release.

The serring was removed so that the Fitbit data in the cloud will stay up to date.

A user has lost the ability to turn off all day sync.

The remote live data on the app has absolutely nothing ti do with this all day sync feature.

Open the Fitbit app, either walk or move your hand up and down. This movement will force the tracker to link up and have the app show live data.

Stop moving, the watch stops transmitting its daahboard.

For one of @Rich_Laue 's statements I will have to say I have observed All-day Sync performing every 15 minutes when a connection between the device and the app is not corrupted. This "disconnect" which even inhibits manual attempts to sync ("Sync Now") has been documented in many posts here on the boards.

Incomplete pairing of the device, which, in my case still continues since purchasing my Versa 2 in January, disabled the ability to toggle the All-day Sync (which has always been set to "off") as well as notifications, while crippling other functions, as well. Even so, All-day Sync has always performed when the app was not frozen.

Where @Rich_Laue gets the idea that the device stops communication with the app once movement stops is confusing to me. Maybe he doesn't have a Heart Rate monitoring device or maybe he just hasn't observed the app when just sitting down. He has also stated in the past that steps aren't counted on the treadmill which is just silly. As long as you don't grip the treadmill's handle with the hand your device is on, it counts just fine whether it is swinging next to you, resting on you hip, stuck in your pocket, held immediately in front of your face or even in a sling (seriously - I was on the treadmill within a week of surgery for an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and had to have my left arm in a sling). Rarely has either my three individual devices I've owned since getting the treadmill missed steps - and I test a lot.

Speaking of tests...

I just ran a test. Sitting sideways to my desk with my left arm firmly planted on the desktop, fingertips to elbow. Five minutes of curling my wife's 10 pound hand weight with my right hand. Watched my heart rate in the app's Today screen range between 62 and 84 bpm. Then watched the heart rate fall back to 61 in a little less than 30 seconds. NEVER moved my left arm from it's original position.

This behavior - dynamic updating of the heart rate in the app's Today screen, has always worked for me since my first Heart Rate monitoring device, the Alta HR and it's successors Charge 3 and Versa 2. - - - >>>

Unless the connection has been corrupted, which happens literally a dozen times a day or more for me. I take the app out of memory, restart it and all is well - at least until the next time. Which is maybe an hour or so or possible as short as 10 minutes.

All of this has been documented to the Support Team - first communication from them to me was on the 7th of February.

Your way doesn't trigger live heart rate. Turn off/turn on continuous sync did however.

I've seen posts where All-day Sync toggle works - but my All-Day Sync toggle is non-functional.

Luckily taking the app out of memory works for me, or I would be soooooo sc****d.

@MrMarv@Rich_Laue Yes, restarting the app works, but it was easier within the app by toggle the continuous sync (this is how it was called in my app)
