How to clear weight data to start over

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm wanting to get rid of old weight data and start over. I try to start on June 26 2018 which is the day I started logging my weight.  The problem is a) I can't back date and b) it won't take my new weight. It keeps re-setting it to my old weight and c) I really just want to start from scratch. The old weight data is irrelevant and three years old. Thanks.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Ingy, hope you're doing great today! To update your weight goal, try the following:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon.
  2. Under Goals, find Nutrition & Body.
  3. Select a goal type (lose, gain, or maintain). You'll be prompted to enter your goal weight and, optionally, a body fat percentage goal.

If you have a Fitbit food plan, you can also synchronize the goals with your plan. For more information on food plans, see How do I track my food with Fitbit?

If you cannot change your weight goal or your current weight, please attach me a screen shot showing what you're getting on your Fitbit app so I can go from there.

Additionally, you can try the following and then try again the first steps I provided above:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date
  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the app
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app

PS:  I moved your post to the iOS App as there are more chances to get app related replies here.
