Hello @Slindsey, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to our family! 
In order to set up notifications for your tracker, please go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:
- Allow Notifications
- Show in Notification Center
- Show on Lock Screen.
Then, open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account button on the top right corner of the screen. Next, select your tracker and you will be redirected to a new screen where you'll be able to see Notifications. Tap on it and enable them.
Please remember that in order for your tracker to receive Notifications, it must be near your phone and the Bluetooth on your phone must be on at all times.
