Any way to get rid of the “Tips” that pop up on the Today page? It’s getting pretty annoying to x out of them every time. I can’t seem to find a way to opt out of it.

Hello again @gracenam

I have been looking all over the forums for you and I’m a bit stunned. Apparently the directions I gave you don’t work anymore because the option is no longer available. It seems that if you had the older version of Fitbit App (I disabled mine a bit over a year ago) but now the option is no longer available but if ya turned it off before I guess it just follows through with each update. But that certainly doesn’t help you. I would call Fitbit Customer Service and ask if there is a way (unknown to anything I can find) that would solve your situation. Please let me know what you find because knowledge would help others experiencing it as well.

Hello @gracenam

I believe I can answer your question. Open your Fitbit App and tap your profile picture on the upper left side then scroll down to “Notifications” and tap that. Once inside just disable what notifications you don’t want ( like the one your describing). When your happy with your selection just tap the word “Today” at the bottom of your screen then sync your Fitbit App. You should no longer get notifications you don’t want now.

😃 I hope I’ve given you a solution to your question. Please let me know.

Hi @SunsetRunner, thank you so much for your comment!

Unfortunately the pop-up I’m talking about isn’t a notification. It’s more like a banner that appears at the top of my Today page about once a day with random “did you know” facts.

Thank you again for your response, though!

Wow, thank you to going to so much hassle!

This is the response I received from Fitbit Support:

Hello! For now, there is no function that can disable the whole Fitbit Today Insights. Occasionally, you’ll receive messages based on your Fitbit data giving you insight into different aspects of your health and wellness. Learn more about this here:

Maybe what you didn’t want to hear @gracenam  but I’m happy you have an answer nonetheless

It's astounding to me there's no way to turn these off, they aren't even insights! At best, I was mildly interested in a reminder feeling hunger may really be dehydration....but seeing this annoying and ugly banner at the top of the app every day is obnoxious

These are irritating.

Why can we not disable these?

Nope, none of these answers give a solution.

The problem is that it’s the same old messages repeating over and over again and it is really annoying. We don’t want it popping up all the time.

This is kind of stupid to me that it's no longer a configurable option. Why would Fitbit remove this ability? As others have mentioned, it is ugly and shows old tips (which is not useful to begin with). Even MS products will eventually dry up on showing tips and then stop the annoying banners.

I have yet to see a tip that is useful information to me.

Having the same issue - so annoying to have to close these “tips” out everyday.

Just finished with customer service chat. "Jennifer said the ability to suppress the "Tip of the Day" is not available. as of 2023/03/30

Yes I know that’s what they said. I was just hoping they’ve changed it by now.
You got me a bit excited there for a moment. 😊

@linz0022 and @Mgirka Welcome on board. @Louibee It's good to see you here.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. As you were told, currently it's not possible to disable the insights on the Fitbit app. I'm sorry for the frustration this has caused and if you haven't done so, you can add your vote to this request. Our team constantly works to improve our features, and your input is a big part of the process.
