I just updated my Fitbit app (11/18/19). I have a Charge 3. Now I cannot add a new tracker, change my tracker screen (clockface, etc.) or move my preferred app feature around (like put the heartbeat thing above the 250 step thing), or do anything else due to some feature called Discover. Unless I'm missing something. Am I?
And my iPhone is not recording steps or heartbeat in real time -- but doing so only when I close and then open the app. Did some setting change? Help!

Hi @scrawford2. Welcome on board to the Forums.
Thanks for updating the Fitbit app and I'll help you with each of your inquiries. About the dashboard, on the upper left corner you'll have the profile's icon which will allow you to add a new Fitbit and adjust other settings of your account. If you tap on the Charge 3's image you'll find your tracker's settings including the option to change the clock face.
In line with this, the dashboard will divide in the Activity tiles (steps, floors, distance, active minutes and calories burned) and Today tiles (heart rate, exercise, sleep, hourly step, food, etc). The Discovery tab will allow you to add tiles to the Today section, start a challenge, try a guided program or exercise using Fitbit Coach. To rearrange the order within the activity and today tiles, follow the steps described in this help article.
Now, you mentioned that your steps and heart rate data aren't showing up in real time unless you're nearby and the app open, that's expected as your tracker and phone need to be within 20 feet to connect via Bluetooth in order to show your information on the app.

Thanks you, Lizzy. Fortunately, the update started working better and I was able to do much of what I wanted to do later. Your explanation on finding the tile moving features helped. Sadly, the clock faces that are available (in the manner you suggested) are quite suitable for Versa and other of the square trackers, but finding one for the Charge 3 is nearly impossible. Got any ideas on that?

Hi @scrawford2. Great to see you again, and I'm sorry for the delay.
I'm glad that the Fitbit app started working correctly and thanks for taking the time to check the tips from my previous post. In regards to your question, with the Versa you'd have access to the Fitbit App Gallery, this is why you'll have more clock faces options to choose from. This Gallery isn't available for the Charge 3 and for that reason the clock faces are different, but our team will keep working on the app and our trackers to include more options that allow you to customize them as you prefer. Let me suggest to take a look to this request that was posted in the Feature Suggestions board so you can add your vote to show your support. The more votes an idea receives, the better chance it has of getting the attention of the developers!

Lizzy, are you telling me that the choices I used to have for my clockface on the Charge 3 are no longer available? And therefore, I should never have updated -- unless I had a Versa or "higher" model of Fitbit tracker? Updates in the past were, shall we say, far more ... useful.
What I had was a Charge 3 clockface that had the things I cared about -- time, steps, and heartbeat. It was a simple thing that I had had from my first Charge Fitbit some years ago. Surely that should still be available.

Hi @scrawford2. Great to see you here again.
Thanks for replying back and what I meant on my previous post is that the clock faces will differ depending on the model, meaning that you won't see the exact same clock faces available for the Versa, for your Charge 3. Currently you should have up to 15 clock faces options for the Charge 3, however if you see a lower number, please take a screenshot of the options you're seeing and share it with me. For instructions on how to attach a picture in your reply, check this post.

Hi @scrawford2. Thanks for getting back. I'm sorry for the delayed response, as well for the difficulties experienced during this process. Let me continue helping you with your inquiry.
The Smartwatch Apps and Clock Faces is another section from the app where you can search for new apps and clocks that are just available for smartwatches (Versa family and Ionic) however, to change the clock face on your tracker, you'll need to go to do the following:
Once you choose your preferred clock face, your Charge 3 will sync to apply the changes.
