How to stop receiving friend notifications on the app?

I have turned them off in the app and also in phone settings so why do I continue to get them?

@Barbkzim Hi there. Thanks for the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. 

 

While these notifications will be turned off on the Fitbit app, they will still appear on the box notification icon. I'd like you to make sure this procedure was followed to turn notifications on the Fitbit app: 

 

- In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab 

- Your profile picture > notifications 

- Make sure notifications are off 

 

If that's the procedure that followed by you're still receiving them in your phone notifications, please let me know if this has recently happened, share the phone model and OS installed.
