Is there a way to turn off sleep score? Sleep score is absolutely useless. As a shift worker and poor sleeper I’d like to know how many hours I slept per day and on an average week so I can catch up sleep. A sleep score is absolutely useless and judgemental. My wife sleeps like a log and I’m wrestles and sleep walk yet our scores are identical.
I don’t want some random meaningless number to judge how I slept. Being judged for poor sleep actually causes more anxiety and issues for my already bad sleep.

There's a lot of great user data there that Google would love to have.
I haven't worn my FitBit in 10 days, the Sleep Score was the final straw.

I slept over eight hours last night and woke up to a sleep score of 47 rated poor. How can that be accurate?

Sleep score is absolutely useless. Before forcing the entire Fitbit community to have some meaningless score forced upon us, give us an option to turn it - or any other “improvement” off! Thanks!

I agree with everyone disgusted with sleep score. It is more of a negative than anything else; it ruins my sleep. Adding insult to injury, when I searched for this thread, it comes up with the heading “SOLVED - how to delete sleep score”. No, it’s not solved. Not one iota.

I'm sure others have noticed this, but when I go into the weekly sleep log, initially it gives the average time like the good old days, for about a second, then switches to the score. So it's a simple coding fix, they just don't care what the customer wants. And of course, if you start researching the sleep score you are told all you need to do is pay the monthly fee to get more information. Lousy.

@Rejcfj It's solved because their is no way to turn off the sleep score. Look at 'Make sleep score optional' feed. Splitting threads makes it easier for the company to ignore the wishes of it's consumers.

I have been a fitbit user for a long time. I was interested in upgrading my device. Without the ability to turn off the sleep score I am no longer interested and will be assessing other devices. The sleep score is counter productive to my well being.

It's encouraging to see others with the same concerns as me regarding sleep score.
But it's discouraging to realize Fitbit will likely not make any changes. Especially now that they have been bought by Google, as yet another source of data.

I stopped using my Fitbit about 2 months ago and haven't missed it except for maybe the movement reminders but my phone can do that. The whole sleepscore debacle helped me to realise that I don't need I thing strapped on my wrist to do anything other than tell me the time, and maybe tell me my heart rate. In other words, a $20 smart watch off eBay will do the trick. Only 4 months to go before I do a YouTube video saying what fitbits are good for where I take my charge 2 and smash it to pieces with a hammer, unless of course they make sleep score optional!

@Jean40244444444 I'm glad it works for you. Are you paying for the premium subscription?
My objection to it the change is that, unless you pay for the premium subscription, you don't have access to the data necessary to figure out what the sleep score means and how to improve it.
If you're not subscribing, how are you using the sleep score?

This week I had sleep times of 7:43, 5:14, 3:03 and 3:34. They all got a sleep score of 71. I’d like to see the science behind that. As you can imagine, I felt entirely different after each of these nights sleep, but according to Fitbit they are all the same. How does this make sense?

I won't pay for the subscription. I feel it's manipulative to make a person pay or just wake up with their judgement. I have had a diagnosed sleep disorder for quite some time. There is literally nothing they can suggest that will improve the quality of my sleep. However they could allow me to have a choice about which data I want to see. The "Score" is just a way for them to extract money. The score is irrelevant and stressful for some people.

This sleep score is meaningless. It is a dimensionless number, even if you have given it your own definition. Units of time are relatible. Please modify asap.

Well someone must have taken notice. Did anyone else’s judgement (good/fair/poor)
label disappear as of today? Now all it says is “get more zzzzz’s” on the daily screen and only the score on the weekly page...
still scores and they are still meaningless but the judgment has been removed. hmmmmmm...

Weird - I’m still getting a score but not seeing the rating (good/fair/poor) anymore.
