Hyperlinks are not opening on iOS

Hello!

I'm quite new to this, so please forgive any inadvertent deviation from etiquette. Or indeed common sense, I'm not very tech-savvy!

I'm about six weeks in to my Fitbit (Zip) addiction and getting quite competitive with my friends in the challenges. When I went on an epic stroll this week, I tried to share the route with my friends (https://www.visitisleofwight.co.uk/dbimgs/5.Sandown-Ryde.pdf) and noticed something quite odd. 

In the iPhone app, the link isn't clickable, but in the Kindle app, it is!

Have I stumbled upon a funny little glitch here, or am I being a complete buffoon with my iPhone and not using links properly?

Hello @Dave001, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board. 

Even though it seems your issue is not directly related to your tracker I would like to know if the link you're sharing is disabled or if you're able to tap on it but nothing happens? If you're trying to open it on the Fitbit app, it's possible it's only recognizing it as text and not as a hyperlink, which explains why you're able to open it using the Kindle app. 

Would you be so kind to let me know which app are you using and sending me a screenshot? That would be very helpful.

Hello I have iOS, and in my group challenges I cannot open links. But everyone else can. Is it because I'm on an Apple device?

Thanks MarcoG, that's just it! In the iOS app, the link seems to display as text rather than a link. 

Is there a way around this?

I've checked this for you and it seems that currently it's not possible to tap links that are being posted on group challenges on iOS devices. I've reported this to our team so they can take a look at this situation and provide a prompt and proper resolution.
