I can't login to Fitbit app on iPhone7

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was having some difficulty syncing my flex2 to my phone. So, I decided to delete the app and then reinstall it.  Now I can't login to the app, I input my email and password and it doesn't do anything.  It says it's logging in, but it never does.  I can login on my iPad with no problems. How to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Hello @Mukie and @krestine, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board the Community! Smiley Happy

Have you tried to log in to your online Dashboard recently? If you're not able to log in here, please restart your password and then try to log in to the Fitbit app and the online Dashboard.

If you're able to log in to the online Dashboard but not the Fitbit app, please go to your phone Settings, then tap on General > Date & Time and make sure Set Automatically is enabled. Then go back to the App and try to log in. Once logged in, try to sync your tracker once again and if it's still not syncing, I would like to suggest checking @HelenaFitbit's excellent tips and recommendations that have been very helpful for many members in the Community.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink

Thank you - I went on holiday and didn't use my fitbit but the automatic time zone was wrong on my devices so turned it off. Was on chat for over an hour this morning trying to get my fitbit to sync and got nowhere, and when I reinstalled the app, I couldn't log back in. Thank you so much 🙂

Hello @eggermac@kljohnson09 and @krestine, thanks for taking the time to reply and let me know you're now able to log in to your Fitbit account. I'm very glad.

@krestine and @kljohnson09, are your trackers able to sync now? If not, please check @HelenaFitbit's recommendations from my previous post and if your trackers are still not syncing correctly, let's try to set them up as new devices once again. Don't worry, the information stored in your account so far won't be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

Let me know the outcome! Smiley Wink

Hello @Adammcr, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

At this moment I would like to suggest you to update the Fitbit app as we have just released a new version (2.41) in the last couple of days. Then try to log in and if you're still unable to log in when hitting Submit, please try to force-close the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

I am no longer able to log into the Fitbit app on my iPhone 7 Plus.  I can log in from my computer but when I enter my credentials to log into the app, I'm getting an error:  The operation couldn't be completed.  (NetworkbitK-it.HTTPError error 1.)

I am having the same issue as @NeenCap and I have literally tried everything. Is there something wrong with the app? I have an iPhone 7.

I’m also having the same problem. The forum suggestions from past issues instruct us to make sure our time is being set automatically. My phone and Fitbit have always both been set to update time automatically. I have deleted and reinstalled my app several times, and I still can’t log in. I’m able to log in on the web, but when I try to log in on the app, the loading indicator spins indefinitely. For the past three days, I’ve had a lot of trouble syncing my Charge 2. I’m assuming this is an issue with the app itself and since it’s the holidays, you’ll likely not be able to address it for a few more days. Please let us know what’s happening.

Thanks

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great day. Smiley Happy

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in my response. At this moment I would like to suggest you the following steps in order to try to log in to your Fitbit account from the app:

  1. Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone through the phone Settings. Do not turn them off from Control Center.
  2. Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone, then swipe up the app.
  3. Open it again and try to log in.
  4. If you're able to log in, turn on WiFi and Bluetooth once again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hi, yes it works after I turned off my wifi and use 4G network.
Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, that didn’t solve the problem. But I restarted my phone, reinstalled the app, and now I can login.
