Welcome aboard to our Community @Mysteps. This is the first time I heard something like this. Note that your Alta can show up to 40 characters of a notification, but if is longer it wont show up as you mentioned. However this message should be on any of your mobile devices as the Alta cannot store any message so it has to be a direct connection to show this notification. Its possible that the message was delete, but this has to be manually done. so I'm sure is not the case.
If the issue persist on a daily basis I recommend to set up your tracker as a new device again. The process is the same you follow the first time but now you have to choose you are an existing user.
