IOS 11.0.3 - Charge HR not syncing or pairing with Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since upgrading to IOS 11, I've faced near constant problems with either not being able to pair my Charge HR with my iPhone, or not being able to sync through the IOS App (now using 2.42 (726)).

When I try to manually sync (pulling down on the Dashboard), I get a message saying: Turn on Bluetooth to Allow "Fitbit" to Connect to Accessories. Bluetooth is turned on (see screenshot). My Charge HR isn't listed under My Devices in Settings > Bluetooth and never becomes discoverable under Other Devices either.

I have no issues with syncing via the Bluetooth dongle in my laptop. That works perfectly.

The only way I've managed to get the App to sync is to perform a hard reset of the iPhone whilst Bluetooth is on. If I open the app immediately, it syncs. If I open a different app first, then Fitbit, it doesn't.

Any suggestions?

Hello @Datamunky, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, at this moment I would like to suggest you the following to remove this message and make your tracker sync:

  • Turn off Bluetooth on your mobile device while the app is open, then turn it back on. (Try this multiple times) until the tracker starts syncing.
  • Force-close the app by double tapping the button on your phone and swipe up the app.
  • Log out from the app and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I have the Iphone Xs and & am getting the same message with Charge 2.  Bluetooth is not finding the fitbit device.

I think it was the IOS update that caused this.  In the settings find the fitbit app and turn the bluetooth back on.

That's it! In Setting on the iPhone find Fitbit. Turn Bluetooth to the "On" position.

Open Fitbit on your phone and it will sync

Thank you , thank you, thank you! I chatted with a Fitbit "Help person" for over an hour last night. Was only able to sync Fitbit to my iPad. Have wasted a bunch of time today reading and trying remedies that did not work. This was magic!!!
