I'm sorry you're having these problems with the app and I've not really heard many people reporting this so in your situation, I would recommend force quitting or even uninstalling and re installing the app to see if this makes any difference.
Also, to make sure that your tracker and app will sync faster, try to restart your tracker by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-15 seconds until it turns off and comes back on and then try to get it to sync.
