I use my phone mostly for tracking distance. I know the approximate distance of the routes I walk. Pre-google the distance was accurate. After Google started managing the iOS app the distance is way off -at least a mile.  Anyone else find the same thing?

I have a charge 6, and went to run on a measured track, it’s over reading by 100m for every 1km. Tested this a few times , I use the built in GPS and of course the rubish new app

Yesterday I walked 11,330 steps. The Fitbit app recorded it as 6 miles, which I know is way off because I know the distance of this route. The IOS health app, which is quite annoying, did approximate the correct distance 4.4 miles.

The new Google app is “rubbish”. Typical Google. Works well enough with some issues…

I have a Zip which is useless except for steps.

If one doesn’t use their phone for recording steps/mileage, new hardware from another company may be in order.
