Ionic is unable to sync correctly.

I purchased the Ionic back in March and I have had trouble syncing it will my iPhone pretty much everyday since. I have to restart both my iPhone and the ionic to get them to sync. I have talked to customer care multiple times and they just give me the same instructions to get it to sync. This only last a few hours. Anyone else having similar problems? I never had this problem with my charge HR

Hello @WhitClay, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to see new faces around! Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've already tried in hopes to resolve your issue. Would it be possible for you to let me know exactly which troubleshooting steps our team provided you? That will be very helpful for me to determine what should we do next.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

First we restart both the phone and the ionic. If that doesn’t work we turn off the sync all day option and then turn it back on. If that does work we go to forget this device and start over repairing it as a new device.

Hello @WhitClay, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply with the information requested! Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have provided me the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. At this moment I would like to suggest you to check the following:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone again.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Thank you for the response, these are the steps that i take twice daily to get my ionic to sync. I am looking for more of a long term solution so that i do not have to do this everyday. Do you have ideas for a long term solutions such as a software update? My phone software is up to date and i am not aware of any fitbit updates that i have missed

Hello @WhitClay, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have already tried the troubleshooting steps I've provided earlier. At this moment, if you haven't done so, please enable All-day Sync in the Fitbit app so your tracker can maintain a constant communication with your phone and establish a Bluetooth link, this has proven to improve the way the tracker communicates and makes syncing easier. Please note that this feature might drain the battery on your phone and tracker a bit faster than usual.

To set up All-day Sync, please follow these steps:

  • Go to Account > Ionic
  • Scroll down and tap on All-day Sync to enable it.
  • If you get a pop-up asking to "pair" your Ionic to your phone, please tap on "Pair"
  • Sync your Ionic once again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!
