Hello, since yesterday afternoon I have the problem with my Ionic... I went swimming for my 60 labs and everything was fine... When I arrived at home my Ionic started counting steps and stairs that I did not do...I was actually in a resting period... I restarted and it keeps doing this. I woke up with nearly 4000 steps and the battery level was on 0. However, I had it fully charged before I went to bed. Can you please help me... I have the Ionic for 11 months and had so far no issues at all...

@drseaton, welcome! It's nice to have you on board!
Let me help you with your Ionic counting steps and floors and its battery draining quickly. Your device uses it's altimeter to detect variance in altitude. It will count 1 floor for every 10 ft it detects you climbed. There are situations that may affect the floor count like stormy weather (that has an actual impact on atmospheric pressure), gusts of wind, an AC unit in a closed room or opening a door. I suggest you start by cleaning the back of the device with cotton and rubbing alcohol then use compressed air at a distance to clear the altimeter's opening. Finally restart it.
Regarding the steps, your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen when driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.
Finally regarding the battery life, try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. You can also find additional suggestions here and see how it behaves.
Let me know how it goes.
