hello,

 

i currently don't have a fitbit and i'm using my iphone to count the steps.

 

my questions is will the steps i take count towards fitbit badges?

No, only steps directly tracked by a fitbit count towards badges and challenges. So, manually logged steps or steps from linked apps do not count.
