Issue since Fitbit iOS update 2.21.1 - current and past data has multiplied

has anyone noticed any issues since they updated the Fitbit iOS app on April 11, 2016?

Last night I noticed that fitbit / app was indicating I had walked 3km in the span of a few hours when in reality I had never left my house so the # would be much less.

When I did some digging, I noticed that now data points in the past are also showing signs of this hyper inflation.  ie. all last week the steps showed approx 1000 per day. but now when i look at the data on the iOS app or dashboard fitbit.com those same days now show I made 8000+ steps.

I'm just curious if anyone else noticed a change, I have a feeling its a bug but thus far Fitbit Support has been incredibly frustrating and told me to return the item to the store 5months after purchase (which makes NO sense).

Welcome to the Fitbit Community my friend @organicaudio Smiley Wink! Hmmm...very weird let me say. I've updated my Fitbit app to the latest version and not problems at all, I also have updated my iPhone OS to 9.3.1.

I'd recommend making sure that your iOS app is updated by following these steps. Once you've done that, try doing the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App

Give it a shot and let me know the good news!
