Over the past 2.5 weeks my app has had issues syncing properly with the challenges. It updates my steps in the dashboard but NOT in the challenges .
Thanks to this bug, I have lost ALL steps from the weekend warriors. I synced several times a day, updated constantly and still did NOT get a single step in the challenge. (See pictures as proof)
This is extremely annoying as it has happened to me with other challenges as well. I update my steps, then check the challenge to make sure it updated. When I check at that time, they're all correct, however it did NOT keep my synced steps.
extremely annoyed, please report this as a bug and fix it.
This is NOT related to ios 13 as I have NOT updated to it yet and the issue was going on before it was released.

Just a note. I do in fact have the latest version of Fitbit. Updated it over the weekend and the issues was clearly not fixed.

Oh my @BahamasGirl365
What an absolute bummer!!🥺 I love doing challenges with my friends so this would be upsetting. I’m using an iOS device to view my Fitbit App as well but I’m not experiencing this. I hate to suggest the most common solution but have you tried logging out of your Fitbit App then force stop it by swiping up. I would then completely restart my my device then try logging back into you Fitbit App and see if that resolves your issue. I think it’s worth a shot.

I've tried those already a few times. Logging out, even deleting the app.
I always force close apps anyways, and shut my phone completely off for the night, and yes I've logged out and back in several times 😞

Yikes! I wonder if deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app would work

Nope, tried that too,
it fixed a totally unrelated issue, but not the syncing issue.

Hello again @BahamasGirl365
What is so strange is that you say your Fitbit steps are syncing properly on the main screen where all the challenges are listed that your actively doing (in the big step circle) but in your actual challenge rooms your step count is not syncing at all so your pretty much sitting on zero inside the active challenge room. I guess as a last ditch effort I would try off my Bluetooth then turn it back on. (I know that seems redundant but I’d at least try) If that doesn’t resolve your issue my only other suggestion would be to call Fitbit Customer Service. Maybe there is something they could do to assist you in someway. I’m really sorry I couldn’t be more help.

I'll likely have to call or get on chat support with them. I tried all those steps before even coming here and posting about it. (I have family who works in IT and has for well over 20 years so I know a little of troubleshooting and trying different solutions first)

Hello @BahamasGirl365
Im assuming you have called Fitbit Customer Service as we spoke about in a previous post. I’m wondering if you would update your device it might correct the issue. But with all that said Moderators do monitor this site so in time they will read and review your concerns and issues. I have no way of summoning a moderator. Good luck to you.

Their solutions were the same as I have already tried.
There is no device update for my fitbit and my phone is 100% up todate
I have already tried resetting my Fitbit, and deleting the app, and repairing, updating everything etc.
NOTHING is working and It's the App itself not the fitbit. I have tried several things for troubleshooting My steps update fine. The Challenge does not. It is a bug in the app since the last update and they are doing nothing about it.
not impressed.

have you looked to see if your iOS device is a compatible device for the Fitbit App? You can check here for yourself: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315/?q=Compatible&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

Yes. And it IS compatible.I even just double checked. I would not have been able to upgrade my ios if it wasn't as anything lower than the 6S isn't compatible. I have a 7. And it IS compatible
everything you keep suggesting I have already done and checked. As I said before I have close family who's worked online for well over 20 years, and have taught me to do troubleshooting before I ask for help. I've done it all. even tried with a different fitbit. Nothing.
This is not working.
it's time for Fitbit to look into this as it has to be an In-App issue.
Not an issue with my phone. My friend had the same thing happen to her and we have the same phone etc.
I appreciate your offers, but it's not something that can be fixed by troubleshooting with other users. Sorry.

@BahamasGirl365 it’s good that your phone is compatible. Hopefully someone will see your post and offer better solutions to help you. Good luck to you.

Is there anyone @Fitbit who can help with this?? I am STILL having issues with syncing and NONE of the answers above are solutions. I have tried contacting you directly and received the same answers as ones I have already tried. Other members suggestions have NOT solved my issue.
not impressed with fitbit.

It's not acting up as much since but still takes several times of me syncing to get steps in the challenges to update. I have upgraded to the iphone 11 with the most recent software update since making the original post, and still have the issue so there's more proof it's not just the phone's fault.
